There are so many things to worry about when we are crochet beginners. How to do the slip knot, the chain, the stitches, how to put your hands, etc., and sometimes being worried about all the stuff make us do extra mistakes. But don’t worry, we all make mistakes, even the experienced crocheters! Be patient and keep going. Probably, the solution is easier than you think.
Some months ago, I started my Twitch Channel. If you don't know what Twitch is, it basically is a place where you can make live streams, originally was only for video games, but now it is expanding. So I know you are wondering, what does this have to do with crochet? Well, I'm doing crafts streams, and I have a special day for crochet, and on that day, this (very) easy crochet hat was born.
A common question when someone is starting in the crochet world is: where do I insert my crochet hook? And the usual answer is through both loops, BUT when you learn more, you notice that you can do it in just one of them.
Single Crochet is the most basic stitch after the chain, and even though it is simple, it can be used to make a lot of different things. If you learn how to single crochet, I assure you that all the following stitches you learn will be much easier because this one is the base for many other stitches.
Counting stitches could seem like a less important ability but, in reality, is essential for any crocheter. You need to know how to count stitches to be able to follow patterns.
