Last time, I told you about my new amigurumi pattern, the bunny in pajamas, and I was pleased with the result, but after looking at him for a while sitting in my desk, I asked myself, “Why not brighten this pattern even more?” So, a couple of minutes after thinking about it, I knew it! It had to transform the pajama from a simple one to a dinosaur, and I did it right away!
This is a fast and easy improvement for your bunny and he will look VERY different.
So if you’re ready, let’s get started!
What do you need?
- A Crocheted Bunny in Pajamas
- Crochet hook size 3,00 mm.
- Yarn (one color different from the body color) – calling for 3,00 mm hook
- Synthetic Cotton /Toy filling (fiberfill or similar)
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
Rnd = Round
sts = Stitches
sc = Single Crochet
sl = Slip Stitch
inc = Increase (sc in indicated stitch 2 times)
[…] x… = repeat instructions in brackets “x” times
(…) = total amount of stitches made in current rnd
Instructions:
Small Spike: Make 2
Rnd. 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sc)
Rnd. 2: 1sc in each sc around(6 sc)
Rnd. 3: [1 sc, inc] x 3 (9 sc)
Rnd. 4: 1sc in each sc around (9 sc)
Big Spike: Make 4
Rnd. 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sc)
Rnd. 2: 1sc in each sc around(6 sc)
Rnd. 3: [1 sc, inc] x 3 (9 sc)
Rnd. 4: 1sc in each sc around (9 sc)
Rnd. 5: [2 sc, inc] x 3 (12 sc)
Rnd. 6: 1sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Belly: Make 1
Rnd. 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sc)
Rnd. 2: [3 sc in the same sc, 2 sc] x 2 (10 sc)
Rnd. 3: 1 sc, 3 sc in the same sc, 4 sc, 3 sc in the same sc, 3 sc (14 sc)
Rnd. 4: 2 sc, 3 sc in the same sc, 2 sc, sl (half round)
Assembling:
When you have all the pieces ready, put a little amount of fiberfill inside of the spikes, and then visualize the position of them. Insert the big spikes thru in the middle of the head using a pin. And then do the same with the small spikes positioning them in the middle of the back.
Tip:
Do not put the first small spike too close to the neck because it will collide with the head.
When you are happy with the position of the spikes, remove the hood and sew the pieces to it.
Do the same work with the small spikes and with the belly. Position the piece first and then sew it to the body. Don’t fill the belly.
And now your Bunny has Dino’s Pajamas. YAY!!!
